A Super Chilled Irish/Indian Wedding in the Woods with THAT Pink Dress…
A few years ago we shot the wedding of London based jewellery designers Kas & Ros (which was such an incredible wedding). Fast forward a few years we were contacted by Ricky & Jess who said they had been recommended to us from their friends Kas & Ros… it was an immediate YES!
All we really knew before the wedding was Ricky & Jess were super chilled, their wedding would be vibrant, and they mainly wanted us to capture unstaged and candid moments during their Irish/Indian celebration at Finnebrogue Woods. What more could we ask for?
The day of the wedding came and honestly, it was one of the most chilled out, laid back, enjoyable weddings we’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. Ricky & Jess had Finnebrogue decorated with vibrant Indian festival colours, a no fuss ceremony hosted by Jean Barrett Quinn, some lovely Indian food and great drinks provided by friends of ours (and previous employers of Jessica) Neill Wine.
Check out some of our photography from the day below…
Ricky & Jess were just so relaxed, so sound, and were able to be truly themselves in more ways than one. For half of the day Ricky wore traditional Indian wedding outfit, while jess wore an untraditional pink Irish linen wedding dress beautiful deigned by none other than Kindred.
Check out all this and more in the video we captured for Ricky & Jess in their wedding Highlights video below…
We loved every second of shooting this one and have had so many people comment how wonderful a day it looked. It really was every bit as wonderful as the images make it out. What a joy to shoot, thanks for having us Ricky & Jess and congratulations once again!
Here’s what Ricky & Jessica had to say about working with us…
“Ross and Ruth were the perfect match for our day. We really wanted a lot of chilled out and in the moment memories. They captured amazing details on the day. They were super organised and very chill even during the chaos of the final getting ready moments and I was very grateful to them for sorting out the bridal accessories for pictures, as I had definitely forgotten! At the venue they both really put me and Ricky at ease for our photos together. We aren’t the most comfortable being centre stage so we’re very grateful for their help to put us at ease and get some amazing pictures. We can’t thank them enough for our pictures and videos to remind us of our favourite day.”
