An Adventurous Couple Take On Life’s Biggest Adventure Together

On the 19th of September 2025 we drove down the Comber side of Strangford Lough to the little village of Strangford to meet Matt & Amanda and capture their wedding at Old Court, one of our absolute favourite venues.

Our day started by capturing Amanda and her ladies getting ready at Quarry Hill, which is an old church that’s been converted into the most beautiful accommodation. It’s not part of Old Court itself but it’s basically right opposite the gates and makes the perfect place for a couple and their family to stay the night before/after their wedding.

Right from the moment we arrived we knew we were in for a super laid-back and fun filled day, and we were not disappointed! Check out some photographs we captured during Matt & Amanda’s awesome wedding below…

After photographing some of Amanda’s preparations, we headed 1 minute down the road to Old Court Chapel to meet Matt before the ceremony began. As the couple said their vows and exited the chapel they walked through an epic confetti tunnel created by their guests, had a Guinness or two, and a quick little boogie, before heading off with us for a few couple shots and family shots around the incredible grounds of Old Court.

Once those shots were in the bag, we got down to doing what we do best… capturing all of the un-staged, natural and candid moments from the rest of the day. We especially loved Matt & Amanda’s speeches as they were full of highly emotional moments (even we had tears) and also the dancefloor was absolutely insane. So fun to shoot!

All in all we enjoyed every second of Matt & Amanda’s big day at Old Court and it was honestly such a pleasure to shoot. We’ve said before (in a previous blog post) Old Court can be a risky venue to book just due to the weather, but Matt & Amanda’s day proved that even when the weather is a bit miserable, the attitude of the couple can make the weather absolutely irrelevant.

What a day, what a couple! Enjoy their Highlights video we put together for them below…
